The BMW5 Series vs. the Mercedes E-Class--both are luxurious; both are German; and both are popular. It may be a difficult decision for you to make, but we have you covered. Read on to see why the BMW 5 Series takes the trophy in this year’s competition.
Let’s start with the driving experience. Under the hood, the cars are very similar. Both feature the same 2.0-liter diesel engine that pushes out essentially the same amount of power and torque. However, the 5 Series takes the win in the driving experience category due to its handling. If you take both cars down some winding roads, it’s clear that the 5 Series is more well-prepared.
As for the interior experience, the 5 Series has the edge there as well. Although both cars are wonderful inside, the E-Class has a slight problem in that its steering column obstructs the view of the dashboard control system for taller drivers. In addition, the materials used in the BMW’s interior just feel more high-quality to the touch than those in the E-Class.
Although you can’t go wrong with either vehicle, the BMW 5 Series takes a slight edge over the new Mercedes E-Class. Come visit us at Union Park BMW to see the 5 Series in action.
