Union Park BMW - Serving Wilmington, DE

Wilmington is one of the oldest cities in the nation and is also the biggest city in Delaware with a population of over 70,000 people, making it a great place to visit for both modern travelers and history buffs. No matter what your interests, you’ll enjoy your stay in Wilmington.

Wilmington is brimming with museums, from various art museums to the Delaware Historical Society to the Children’s Museum. Wilmington is a great place to bring your kids (or just yourself!) to get an education. There are plenty of historic sites like Rockwood Mansion, a Gothic mansion built in the 1800s, and the Hagley Museum, where you can learn all about the history of Wilmington and the Brandywine Valley.

Wilmington also houses the Delaware Division of the Arts, the Delaware Center for the Contemporary Arts, and the Andre Harvey Art Studio. This place is an art lover’s dream.

Outdoorsy folks will also find plenty to do in Wilmington. Take a hike in the
Alapocas Run State Park and visit the historic Blue Ball Barn, which is located in the middle of the park and houses the Delaware Folk Art Collection. Pay a visit to the Brandywine Zoo or the Greenbank Mills and Philips Farm for even more educational outdoor fun. The entire Brandywine Valley area has lots of hiking, and you can hike from park to park and town to town with ease.

Wilmington has great nightlife and dining options, with everything from historic pubs to modern eateries with vegetarian and vegan options. Have lunch in Trolley Square or swing by the
Riverfront Market for some great local food.

Here are some more of our favorite attractions in the greater Wilmington area!

We hope to see you in Wilmington!
